Glad to get readers at last. The talk at the leisure centre was very enjoyable, with a nice lunch and a great bunch of people. Honey and Humbug sold well. It helped that someone asked me to read a poem.
Then, on Saturday, Ben and I went to the Christmas Fair at the old soldiers’ home. They had a lovely market and mulled wine and mince pies with plenty of entertainment, carol singers and the air cadet band included. There was a stall with someone selling a self published book – The Secret Diary of a Worthing Soldier – so we bought one. We independents must stick together!
One of the customers stopped to tell Ben his shoes were a credit to him. Another old soldier, I guess! Must stop to do parcels.
Bye for now, Julie.
