Jimbo gets hot
Jimbo found sleeping in the daytime quite easy and was ready for his next adventure at midnight.
This time, the dragon flew him into a small room with lots of cupboards and left him high up on a shelf.
“You see, under the window,” he said, “That’s a sink, with taps that let out water, watch!”
He flapped at a tap with one wing and out gushed a stream of water.
Jimbo laughed.
“But this is the best bit,” said Smokey,”Hold on tight.”
There wasn’t much for Jimbo to hold on to – just a couple of soup bowls.
Smokey hovered in front of him and blew downwards. ‘Whoosh!’
Four rings of blue and yellow flame lit up the room.
Jimbo could feel his nose getting hot.
“Isn’t that great?” asked the dragon.
“No! Turn it off,” shouted Jimbo,”It’s too hot!”
The flames died down and the dragon flew over to the little dog.
“Sorry,” he said,”I forgot fire could frighten you. Never mind. Tomorrow the children are coming. We must be ready for a very special day.”
