A MAD experience
Home again after a week away without a computer. We went to the Midlands and at Warwick Services I found a leaflet about the MAD museum in Stratford on Avon.It looked like the sort of place our grandson might enjoy so we took him there the next day. MAD stands for Mechanical Art and Design and if you like balls travelling down slopes and flying machines and a set of hands that clap when you do it is a really fun place. In fact, I enjoyed it , too, including the model train and the musical glasses.
Stratford is a real tourist trap and refreshments are quite expensive but we found a spot in the sports centre overflow car park and a shop that sold exotic ice creams.
It was a very enjoyable day out, especially for the dog who loved running after a ball on the sports field. He wasn’t sure about the swans on the river, though!
Writing took a back seat. More about that next time.
