Saturday night Greg Harper, a local to Sussex singer and songwriter, was performing at Broadwater parish hall.
Not only did he have a keyboard player and a guitarist with him – he also had tea, coffee and cake!
His self penned songs are always topical and thought provoking. I especially like ‘Bricks and Dust’ but he also sings Elvis songs – great ballads, but no thrusting hips!
The variety of folk artists in this area is amazing – they compare well with those from Ireland and Northumberland. Folk music will never die as long as people like Greg Harper and Ron Trueman Border keep writing new songs.
