Life in the way
Can’t get on with my writing as real life is getting in the way.
I should be pleased, as today I am giving a talk on ‘My Life and Works’ and reading some passages from a couple of my books but I meant to have a nap this afternoon and instead I printed off eighteen pages of script for the Voice of Progress pantomime.
It looks as though I have a part with an accent – it’s written in dialect, but I don’t know if it is rural or Nottingham! I began to read it like the Wurzels but some of the phrasing seems northern.
I need to do research for that AND for the price of things in the 1960’s. That’s the trouble with writing ‘historically’ – someone will know the facts!
More medical tests tomorrow and then perhaps I’ll know why I’m always tired.
